Built in 1888, The Driskill is one of the most well-known hotels in Texas. It has a long and interesting history, from being lost in a game of poker by its original owner, to becoming President Lyndon Johnson's campaign headquarters. This ornate building is now on the National Register of Historic Places, and is a centerpiece on Austin's bustling 6th Street.
